HiEnergy Services, a subsidiary of Aberdeen Holdings, won tenders to develop 2 ground-mounted solar power plants in Vavuniya. The project capacity is 2 MWp in total (1 MWp per plant) and will be built to export electricity to the national grid as per the terms of the Soorya Bala Sangramaya Phase II. This project is carried out by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) with an aim of nourishing the renewable energy supply in the country.
The Power Purchase Agreements for the 2 power plants were signed in August at the CEB premises. Sattar Kassim (Company Director) and Shafik Kassim (Managing Director) represented HiEnergy Services, while Nalinda Ilangakoon (Vice-Chairman) represented the Ceylon Electricity Board on this occasion.
Congratulations to the HiEnergy team and we appreciate their efforts in propelling Sri Lanka towards a sustainable future.
