FITSAIR

Fits Aviation (FitsAir) is a pioneer in the Sri Lankan aviation industry, being the first privately operated Sri Lankan airline to be licensed for international cargo operations by the Sri Lankan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

FitsAir commenced operations in 1997, with a leased 10-tonne capacity cargo aircraft flying from Sri Lanka to the Maldives. Since then, FitsAir has improved its operations significantly, presently operating its own five-craft fleet of ATR72s.

In 2000, FitsAir had successfully purchased three 15-tonne aircrafts within the year and expanded its fleet. With this expansion came extended cargo operations, with FitsAir carrying its services to India, Pakistan, and the United Arab Emirates.

Among its services are scheduled international passenger services from Sri Lanka, international cargo flights to several cities in the Middle East, Africa and Asia, as well as charter flights to India.
